What does the €750 package include?
Workshop service: ECU unlock, 300 HP engine tuning and Stage 2 gearbox tuning for a compatible vehicle. Total application takes approximately 30 minutes once compatibility is confirmed; vehicle condition and any additional work can affect timing.
Burble intensity and RPM range can be adjusted in the app, with burble active only in Sport mode. Sport Cooling on/off, Cold Start suppression and an optional RPM limiter depend on vehicle and package compatibility.
300 HP identifies the package level, not a guaranteed measured result for every vehicle. Actual power depends on condition, fuel and hardware. The power comparison below is not a customer vehicle dyno measurement.
Why is the 520i 1.6L in Turkey?
The Turkish 520i ships with — for tax-bracket reasons — not the 2.0 but the 1.6L B48B16 (MG1CS003 ECU), the same unit as the 320i and 420i.
The calibration is the same as the 320i: stock 170 PS to 280 and 300 HP by software, 320 HP with a downpipe and suitable fuel. As the G30 is a heavier body, the torque gain is clearly felt day to day.
Without spoiling the 5 Series comfort character; the original software is backed up, return to stock any time.
What does the software feel like on a 520i?
The G30 520i is the heaviest body the 1.6 B48 has to carry. In factory trim 170 PS is enough but feels reluctant: a loaded car on a hill, a 100-to-140 overtake on the motorway, a city pull-away with the air-con on. The calibration works on the low-to-mid rpm torque model first; that is where the difference shows, in the first half of the pedal.
The 280 and 300 HP stages are delivered on stock hardware without spoiling the quiet, soft character of the 5 Series. Crackle and cold-start delete are optional switches — keep them off if you drive for comfort; they change with a tap in the app. 320 HP needs a downpipe.
Gearbox: the 8-speed automatic in the G30 carries the extra torque comfortably; the calibration keeps torque limits within the gearbox's own margins. Fuel consumption stays close to factory in calm driving; the difference only appears when you lean on the throttle.

Figures are metric horsepower (PS) as used in Turkey; the UK bhp equivalent is slightly lower (170 PS = 168 bhp). 320 is not delivered on stock hardware — a downpipe must be fitted and the fuel must suit it; that is Stage 2 territory. Which stage suits your car depends on fuel quality, maintenance and what we see in a road log — datalog analysis exists for exactly that.

Crackle / Pops (adjustable)
Controlled crackle and pops from the exhaust. Rev range, speed and intensity are set from the app.
Cold Start Delete
Silences the high-idle, noisy warm-up on cold starts. Quiet mornings — fully off or off once warm.
Speed Limiter Off
Removes the factory electronic speed limit (Vmax).
RPM Limiter
Adjusts the rev limit to suit your stage.
OPF / DP Calibration
Compatible calibration for particulate-filter delete or downpipe cars.
Sport Cooling
Earlier, more aggressive cooling for high load and track use.

You pick the package in the app
You choose the stage and the extra toggles on the app's Flash screen. The package card shows the stages authorised for your VIN — without access, the option does not open.
Exhaust sound (crackle), speed limiter and cold-start behaviour are separate switches; which ones suit your car we decide together.
Once the write starts, progress and a log of every step scroll on screen. You do not need to leave the app before it finishes.

Does the €750 price include gearbox tuning?

Is the 520i really 1.6L?
Yes. The Turkish 520i (G30) ships with the 1.6L B48B16 — same engine as the 320i and 420i.
Worth it on a heavy car?
Yes — the 5 Series is heavier, so the torque gain is felt even more on the 520i. Same stages, clear day-to-day gain.
Same process as the 320i?
Same engine (B48B16 / MG1CS003), so the stages are identical; every write is prepared for your VIN.
