What Transmission Tune II includes

  • Launch Control — Enables the launch function that manages revs and traction for standing starts.
  • Shift lights — Shows the shift point on the instrument cluster with a light bar.
  • 6,900 rpm setting — Allows the engine to rev up to 6,900 rpm in manual mode.
  • Torque limiter removal — Adjusts the transmission torque limit to suit power-increased engine software.
  • Faster gear changes — Shortens shift times for quicker changes when driving sportily.
  • Shift exhaust sound (audible with a suitable exhaust) — Adds the brief ignition-cut sound on upshifts; a suitable exhaust is needed for it to be clearly audible.

Features depend on equipment, iDrive generation and current software. We confirm the scope using your VIN and equipment before booking. Coding services are separate from ECU flash packages sold for the app.

What to know for the BMW 4 Series G22/G26 LCI (2024+)

Transmission software for the BMW 4 Series G22/G26 LCI (2024+) runs on the ZF 8-speed automatic’s control unit and is separate from engine software. Performance Package II changes shift character and launch functions without touching the engine calibration.

If your car already has power-increased engine software, or you plan to flash one with MOSTUNED, mention it before booking so torque limits and shift settings can be assessed. A software update at a BMW dealer can reset transmission settings; they then need to be reapplied.
